Financial Markets Could Be Imminently Impacted by Revival in The Global Economy
Financial markets may face long-term risks of an “epidemic” impact due to a precipitous drop in the labor market. A new Financial Times report says that it will not be possible to return to pre-virtual employment levels until 2023. Advertising agency M&C Saatchi also improved its earnings forecast amid a continued recovery in global ad spending. First-quarter highlights included an “unexpectedly buoyant new business market.”
According to a new report, the global economic recovery is uneven. Developed countries such as the United States are facing labor shortages due to overly generous unemployment benefits. But despite all the news, the latest reports from the International Labor Organization mean that the global financial markets face further difficulties. The economic crisis caused by avian influenza (AI) has hit developing regions especially hard, and there are concerns that developed countries, such as the United States and Britain, will be forced to rely on immigrant labor in order to fill labor shortages both outside of and within the virtual economy.
Despite these strong signs, the job market still faces a host of potential problems. First-quarter growth may be one indication of recovery, but others are more skeptical. According to a recent report, financial markets may face long-term risks of “an epidemic” impact due to a precipitous drop in the labor market. Although it is a bit too soon to declare virtual reality as the culprit, some experts predict that the impact may be more severe than the 2008 financial crisis that happened during the Bush presidency.
